Is there any way to have an adoption reversed?

Its been three weeks, and I now feel I made a mistake. I want to give it back. I have the right to my feelings, as mean as they may be, so just answer the question, and keep the opinions to yourselves.

How very sad. Mostly for the child who is struggling with attachment issues more than likely...to have a parent who "did not want them in the first place, or who was not prepared to raise them", now YOU, are rejecting him/her as well. What is the basis of you wanting to reverse the adoption. Is it too hard for you? Not what you expected? Taking up too much of your time? Whatever the reason, I think you need to do some real soul searching, and go and talk to somone, or use the adoption agency (if you went thru one) to help you with the transition.

This is very sad to me. I have been waiting for the placement of my adopted child for over a year now. I cannot imagine, EVER, no matter what the obstacles are, doing that to an innocent child. My advice is to not be so selfish, and think about 'why' you went this route in the first place. I wish you luck, but most of all, I wish that innocent baby someone who adores him/her, and sticks through it, thick and thin.

I think the person is staying they adopted a child and now wanted to return it. Not that they are a birthparent who gave their child up for adoption but now wants it back in that case the birth parents has between 6 months to 1 year depending on the state to reclaim their birth child. In the case of adoption that is not the case once you sign those papers it is final.

Shame on you a child is not a toy you can return to the toy story. You were clearly immature to even consider adopting. This child dose not deserve to have you as a parent

I certainly hope not. I also hope that they take the child from you and you have to pay child support forever. You should not play games with the life's of others. I am sure a person like you has many obligations that have not been paid. Hope they nail you on this one. I could not resist giving you what you deserve. In addition, you need a good asssss whipping.

So you adopted a child....I assume through Social Services and now you no longer want the child? I would presume that once you signed the papers the child is yours and I wouldnt think you could change your mind adopting a child is not like signing for a car.

I would need to have more information. If your rights were involuntarily terminated, it is really not likely because courts consider that very carefully before they do it(and if they do-it's usually because you screwed up bad).
If you voluntarily signed over the rights to your child, you are probably going to have to prove you did so under duress or other exceptional circumstance.

You need to give more info. Are you talking about a child you adopted or about YOUR adoptive parents?

I've heard of it happening. Some woman left her baby in a garbage can, he was found and adopted, and three years later she came back, sued for custody, and won.
Was it right? I wouldn't say so, but there you have it.

I don't believe you I'm sorry. People wait years to be able to adopt and want a child badly as they have been unable to have their own. They don't simply decide it was a bad idea

You had to have spent LOTS of TIME & MONEY deciding to adopt a child!!! Why all of the sudden, you don't want to be a parent??
