If a teenage girl is five feet seven inches tall, what is the smallest healthy size her jeans could be? Biggest healthy size?

I would guess that a size 4 would be the smallest and maybe up to a size 10 or so. This is based off of someone weighing between 120 and 150 lbs.

Apart from waist size, there is no minimum or maximum healthy clothes size. As long as your waist is no bigger than 32 inches, that is considered healthy. I believe that equates to a size 14, however if you have larger hips or bust, this does not pose the same kind of health risk as being too large on your waist. Unless your body fat percentage is too high, i.e. over 30% and/or you are over 32 inches on the waist, clothes size is pretty irrelevant.

I personally think anywhere from a size 2 - 32-24-34 to a size 14 - 40-32-42 is fine.

It would depend on a lot of things..your bone structure, your muscle mass and lack thereof, genetic makeup and build, and even the specific designer type of jeans as their sizes tend to be irratic. I think you should wear what looks good on you and ask your doctor if your weight and size is healthy or not.
