I'm very patient. There's no hurry. There's a girl I work with who I think is very beautiful. I am very shy. But at the same time I have quite a bit of justifiable pride. I want to begin as simply friends but I don't know how?

just stay close to her and let her see the real you, no matter what happens at least you didnt hide who you are. and dont change yourself for her or to get close to her but keep true to yourself and if you do that she will notice and more than you would think. as much as you may think she might not like you or you arent good enough for her, she knows the truth. just go with your heart dont be afraid to maybe even look stupid, girls actually like that sometimes because it shows that you are being real and yourself. good luck i think you deserve someone like this girl if she can treat you right.

The best thing to do is strike up casual conversations around the office with her. Don't say anything about her looks or something with a sexual condensation, all thats going to do is get a sexual harassment suit on you. So be smart ask how her day is, or if she needs help with anything to feel free to come get you. Then at a company event try to get to know her a little more, ask if she minds some company at lunch, and work your way from there!

Talk to her more often. Get to know her likes and dislikes. Do you like the same color? Movie? Music style/ group?
Ask her if she wants to go to lunch as friends. Does she have a boyfriend? Tell her that she is very pretty. Compliment her on her shoes. Like I said get to know her. Whether it's a simple " hey what's you favorite. color? I know it's random....." or " hey when is your birthday again? ....." something like that. Remember you only live once.

My riend (that is a guy) just started talking to me. Last year we talked a little. This year he was messing around w/my cell phone and put his number in it and we text constantly now. Just be yourself, make her laugh, but not with weird/perverted jokes. Not everyone likes that. It's good that your patient (unpatient guys get annoying). My friend putting his number in my phone really made us better friends in fact were dating.

awe :( i'm sure the girl must be very pretty to have a guy as nice as you to like her. but if i was a fuy i would ask her for little thing like, do you have a pen or just things like that, try not to talk about the weather unless it snowed, its a girl thing, good luck with it let me know how it goes.
