Ohh yeah! I had an intense religious upbringing. I was a protestant in a Catholic school. I was bullied bashed ande set upoin by the cattleticks because I was different and questioned their catechism and bible stories.
Father O'Rielly took me aside one day and said You may be right boy, but your gonna get yerself killed if you keep questioning our faith. We know there are holes in it but it might be better if you didn't tell the other guys.
I have always been interested in the stories, but i have also done research in Egypt and other areas of the Bible and found out things for myself. Like for instance there is no Mt Sinai
Ask why it took God Who was supposedly the creator of man and the world 40 days and nights to write 10 commandments. Moses broke them and had to go back up Sinai to get another copy and it again took 40 days and nights.
that's 96 hours per commandment....
Now with all that booming voice from the clouds, bolts of lightning to destruct Soddom and Gomorrah, ability to part the Red Sea on command and talking over burning bushes.
Wouldn't you think A God of such wonderous notoriety could write 10 items on the shopping list a little quicker than that?
Nope, too much to accept that this is not all an Aesops type fable

Yes I have read the bible several times and I have made an extensive study of the bible for eleven years and you are wrong. Unbelievable I agree. The ones it gives ammunition to is the Christians I'm afraid. You can not prove there is even one single lie in the Holy Bible. You can call it lies until you are blue in the face but you cant prove a single lie. There are so many Different ways the bible can be interpreted and is interpreted by Christians. A real Bible scholar would have any statement you made about the bible trumped before you got your mouthy closed. Just be happy that you know you are right without trying to prove them wrong which you can not do. God Bless. Oh and they will also end up condemning you to Hell.

Well I'm glad that you enjoy mocking the beliefs of some of these people, but I still respect all religions, it's kind of rude to insult someone's beliefs, I don't care about Islamic extremists or Christian fundamentalists, I'm not going to let the bias of others make me bias, I don't mean to sound like a preachy preachy Atheist, but I don't like them looking down on me for being an Atheist and I don't think being aggressive solves anything
I'd rather spend my time reading Hindu or Buddhist philosophy, I find it worthwhile

No only have I read it, I majored in theology and philosophy. I finally realized I was forcing myself to believe things I knew were not true, so here I am in with the Atheists! High five fellow unbelievers!

Yes I have. It's what turned me into an Atheist when I was a flip-flopping Agnostic teenager.
