How come some people are so fertile and others aren't? I mean, in my family...all the women I cared enough to ask conceived ALL of their children (myself included) while using some sort of contraceptive...a condom, the "foam", a diaphragm, spermicide, even a botched vasectomy...why is it that we all have no apparent trouble getting pregnant while others try forever?
Is it all genetic? Does it ahve anything to do with lifestlye or diet? What is it?!?!

I do think its genetic....but i suppose i could be wrong...we always joke in my family that we can get pregnant by having impure thoughts....yet i had a best friend who tried and tried and finally concieved after two rounds of Artiifcial Insemination.....it couldnt be diet or lifestyle....my kids were concieved when i was smoking, drinking....eating donuts...all the fun things!

Just the way you are made. I am one who was always fertile just like you and your family. I also was lucky to have three kids and not a single stretchmark and good elastic skin. Nothing I did, believe me, just luck.
Fortunately, I have plenty of other flaws and failures so it all works out.

actually i can't answer that i just want to agree with you. i have a few kids of my own. pretty much my husband looks at me and i become pregnant and my friend who tries and tries has such a hard time. who know but i would also like an answer.

It's not the fertility per se, it's the birth control pills they take and once they stop taking the pills, guess what - those little eggs just zoom down the Fallopian tubes like a roller coaster to meet with the sperm injected into the uterus.
