Sensitivity for my teeth (hot/cold/air) for me is the number one thing. When I whiten my teeth...I also experience some soreness in my gums...but it typically only lasts for a day or two. I have seen some excess spotting in whitening like (clouds) on a tooth because there is a cap/filling.

But I whiten and get compliments on my teeth a lot. I highly suggest it. Follow the time requirements and amount lotted.

stripping enameal off the teeth by some of the whitening chemicals can cause the teeth to become soft and break or form cavities.

however there are whitening products out there that don't strip the enameal. so I don't see the con here.

You have to taste that nasty gel. Don't bother with the gel that you "paint" on your teeth. You will have managed to swallow it all, unintentionally, before the 30 minutes is up. Get white strips. They work really well.
