My husband weight approx. 260 lbs and we know he needs to loose a lot of weight to pursue his dream to join the military.
He will not be a "normal” soldier, more a teacher in the military.
We have had people from the military visiting our home and discussed my husband's different opportunities in the military.
But we still do not know what weight he must reaches to get into the military.
My husband is 5'10" tall.
Anyone who knows?

I'm 5'10" and to be on the Army's fat-boy program 196 lbs. is the MAX I can weigh. I'm nowhere near that thankfully. So he needs to lose abut 70 pounds to barely make it. Unless he is all muscle then he needs to play pro football !

He can join being 195 OR meeting 29% bodyfat to join the Army.

He would have to conform to stricter standards once he in in for a year. Depending onhow he is built, he can make it being 220. It is not uncommon.
