It's a pretty easy thing to do if you know how. I find it easier if your hair is already strait. All you need to do is get some kind of 'shaping wax', put a little bit on your hands, and put a small amount in your hair. Mess it around with your hands, flip it, etc. You can make it chunky too by doing strands individually. the best part about it is that it's supposed to be messy, so it's hard to actually do something wrong. Good luck!

Buy a pair of curling tongs by Mary Kate & Ashley - they are meant for teens but they work really well giving you soft natural curls/waves
Don't curl all your hair, leave some sections straight - this will break up the look and it will look more natural, more bedhead

The best is a new product called Texture Dirt from FX Special Effects that is all the rage. You can get it at Walgreens. You'll love it!

Shower RIGHT before you go to bed and then as soon as you get out go to bed. If you have really straight hair then scrunch some mousse into it. WHen you wake up it will be slightly wavey and toussled.
good luck!

Try Salon selectives moulding putty. Put a glob in your hand, then rub your hands together and then all over your head, this will give you the bedhead look.

There are lots of styling pastes out there you can buy at a salon or at a store. It is fairly cheap and it has instructions on it. Good luck!!

try using hot rollers, and when you take them out use your fingers to loosely twirl them into eachother, then use a large curling iron to touch up pieces...whatever you do, don't brush it out, just use your hands if you want to mess with it.
