Like the thing will play movies fine unless I want to click go to main menu button. Then it will freeze up. Also It won't play Play station One games. Don't tell me to get a new Play Station. Be a real help please. Thanks

Try to use a lens cleaner

the laser eye on the disk tray is dirty, a common thing with older ps2s. this requires you to either take the ps2 apart an clean the lens manually or buy a lens cleaner disk that is compatable with the ps2

Seriously, you do need to buy a new one. The Playstation is getting old and its starting to die. Not worth fixing it. Playstations are really sensitive.

if that doesn't work
Replace that mainboard
if that doesn't work
Get a PS3
