All relationships are bad. They all lead to trouble.

Depends what you mean by good or bad and I also think your age plays an important part. If you are a teenager I'm not sure it would work...your hormones are quite active and you may have a hard time with a long distance relationship. A mature person who is out there working and self supporting may have a better chance. There is a certain amount of trust & commitment involved here. I know 2 couples who had east & west coast long distance relationships who eventually did marry and are together for almost 25 years. It really depends on the 2 people involved.

Long distance relationship really depends on the communication and trust between the two people.
Normally, in long distance relationships, the couples begin to wander and sometimes, they forget about the other person because they're so far away. Most of the time, it just leads to mistrust and then the relationship ends badly.
But in some cases, if the couple really trust and care about each other, it works out, but those cases are rare.

I may not be the best to offer advice. My boyfriend, who I have lived with for 2 years just moved away for family reasons. I do know though, that we are finding ways to make it work. We planned ahead as to when we will have contact, phone calls, etc. and are committed to actually getting together at least once a month for a date. Good luck to you if you are in a long distance relationship! As long as you have trust, everything should be ok.

My brother and sister in law when they were dating live 3 hrs away from each other. One weekend my brother would drive out there the next she would come visit him. They've been married going on 5 years in May and there some of the happiest people I know. People always ask me questions like this and I tell them that about my brother. I hope this gives you some hope if you are in a long distance relationship.

..Alot of ppl say dey dnt but you never know until u give it try,and if u care enuff bout d person,u'll be willing to try.
I'm in one and we've been going out for bout 2yrs,but for d past 10mnths we've lived in diff continents and I wnt see him till summer!!
Truth is it takes trust, alot of honest communication,hardwork...but if u guys really love each other it'll work out fine.
There will rough times but dats normal and it jumping those hurdles help make the relationship stronger.
Honestly I'm really happy and won't trade my relationship. I keep him posted on wats going on lyk hes here, when I have a bad day or good day he knows and he shares those moments.
Goodluck ...

it's a really complicated situation, trust me.
i moved away from my (now ex) boyfriend about a year ago.
we were devistated, and even though we talked to eachother quite regularily, we missed eachother so much. we decided to end it becasue it just wasn't the same.
However, I also have a friend who has been dating a guy long distance for around 6 months now. She's never been happier.

they work but sometimes if u dont talk to or see that person it can be bad. as long as u see them sometimes it all works out. it also depends on how faraway u are from the person if ur like more then 3 hrs away then u prolly wont see that person much at all and its less likly to work. but mine is working out and it has been for about 6 months

I think it depends on how committed the couple is to the relationship. My hubby starts a job in DC on Monday, but our home is here in Cali. Both of us are coming to the end of our careers (me, late 40's, him mid-50's), so we decided to maximize our retirement pot by allowing him to take on a very high paying job out of state. We're going to miss each other like crazy, but each of us is also secure in our relationship and plan to see it to the end. Most military wives don't get to see their husbands for months on end, at least my husband and I can visit each other several times a year.

i think as long as you trust each other they can be good and all of the long distance relationships i have in the past had have worked out pretty well.
