i really like this guy but i can't talk to him. no matter what people say about just going up and talking to him i can't. I keep thinking that if i do he will just be like "and your talking to me why" please help!!!

Try to find out if you have something in common. If you see him with a magazine for example casually ask "any good articles in there?" That is enough of an opening to have a response from him. It should also ideally open up for a follow on question. Try to get out of your head that you really like this person and try to talk to him as you would a person whom you were not attracted to. He is not some god on a pedestal. He is a person who you can speak to.

Seriously - life is too short - this is what you do...Find out what he does, likes to do, etc. and ask him about that. An example "Hi Joe, I heard you are really good at math and I thought that I could just ask you one question because I really don't understand." You get the point. If the person is interested, you will start picking up on that. If not, they will help you out, but be somewhat distant. Either way, you are not really setting yourself up for rejection because you are not acting as though you want that person, you are starting up a possibly friendship by getting their help first. BUT don't act dumb. Seriously, ask them something that you don't know, then you will come across as real and not flakey. Oh yeah, and do it when the person is alone and not busy talking to his buddies.

If it's hard for you to just walk up and talk to him, think about finding another way to get his attention. Perhaps a friend of yours could just casually mention to him that you're interested in him, but you're shy. Another thought is getting the nerve to email or im him, or write a little note that you could stick in his locker or whatever, just saying you want to speak to him. Once he knows you are interested, if he's interested, he'll talk to you. :)

Make sure that you have made a common eye interest with each other first. Can't you wait for him to approach you first, that is the way that it should be. You will feel much better knowing he did, it will also make him feel like the man.

The next time you see him alone, walk up to him and tell him you know a girl who would like to talk with him, but she's kind of shy. Stir his interest and curiosity. If he asks who she is, slowly start describing yourself, what you like to do, your interests, what you look like, what you're wearing. He should catch on eventually. Sure it's kind of silly - but it works. You have his attention. Play it by ear from there.

Okay, just think to yourself "What if the world ends tomorrow?" or "What if he moves away?" You can't start a relationship with him unless you talk to him first! Start by saying HI, if you haven't already.

you can ether make small talk and be with him in a group project at school and then after a while tell him how you feel ALONE so that he doesn't feel pressured. trust me guys respond better if there is no presser. good luck

if he "asks why you are talking to him", he must not be a very nice guy. what a snob! just make eye contact, and if he doesn't look away, smile. not big, just subtle enough. if it works, go up and start talking. its the only way to start a relationship.
