I'm feeling kind of bad for eating a whole slice of bread (80 calories) instead of eating a jalapeno popper (70 calories). Should I feel bad...are the poppers healthy?

I meant to write "slice of whole wheat bread."

I think you're better off with the bread. Most poppers are deep fried, and if they contain cheese, that sends the cholesterol up, too. Bread is fairly low in terms of the bad stuff, and whole wheat is good for fiber.

No, the whole wheat bread may be more calories, but it's definitely healthier than a jalapeno popper. (You'd be pretty hard-pressed to find anything really healthy on a Pizza Hut menu.)

Well whole wheat bread is good for you, I don't know the nutritional facts of them but I'm pretty sure the bread is better, aren't jalapeno poppers fried? Maybe I'm thinking of something else but why even worry about the calories? It's too much of a hastle. You should just eat healty but what you want and exercise regularly.

Well, what's more likely to fill you up - a slice of WW bread or a tiny jalapeno popper? That should answer your question.

It depends on what you put on it. Cheese is always a huge deal breaker and if you're putting more on your homemade pie than you get on a standard Pizza Hut pizza, it's obviously not healthier. However, if you're doing the homemade thing to regulate the unheathier content of a pizza, it's a great idea.

You may have been better off with the bread, but I bet you the popper would have tasted much better!

we serve them, and cheese sticks, and other assorted fried appetizers, I was looking at the boxes one day, at the fat grams, Poppers are off the charts Fat!!!....Mozzarella sticks prior to frying are the least fat content.....But those poppers cheddar or cream cheese are so good....Trying to lose winter holiday food weight, so I can't have them. :(
