Yes air ambulance is available in india.
This service is being provided by two hospitals in delhi
their name is indraprashta Apollo hospital & Escorts.
Escorts is a hospital which mostly treats heart problems.
They have aircrafts as well as helicopters but air ambulance is very expensive in india and its beyond reach of common man.
They pick up patients from remote locations as well as from neighbouring countries.
I know an incident where a patient was picked up from bangladesh and was brought at apollo hospital delhi for treatment.
you can use www.google.com for finding out the contact number.
you can also take the patient by using domestic airlines they have provision for taking patients.
But you need to contact them in advance or you can hire a charted plane by contacting the airport.
There are private companies which provide charted planes and helicopters & you can easily get the contact details from the airport
