i have 9 so far all diff colours & designs, ive drawn all of them myself they are on my chest, shoulder, biceps, forearms ,left temple in my hair line , right calf & knee , my temple tat was extremely painful . chest hurt near my under arm but your tattooist will tell you what's not a good idea , and the most important is to take your time looking it's your body your choice , go to a reputable shop , it may cost a bit but the quality is very important . anyone can say they are a tat artist look for someone that has done it for atleast 4-5 yrs . also a clean sterile shop is a big concern, ask questions about colours and reactions to your skin type / colour / tone . what type of ink they use . do your home work once it's in your skin you cant peel it off. oh , stay away from names or words if you can , your state of mind may change later in life
good luck & enjoy

I will have you know I AM a Chrisian and I do have tattoos! It doesnt say not to get tatttoos! It says "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD." I take this as tattooing lost loved ones on yourself. Besides, the Bible also says "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." So others may want to think twice before judging people!!! and the Hepititis thing is just CRAZZY!!! Yes it could happen but tat shops are watched so closely your chances are slim! Just find a reputable place and go there! (Tat shops are tested about every month for cleanliness and I mean they have their instruments under a Microscope! As for the job thing, I have found in this day and age people arent as picky about it! I have 8 Tattoos and they arent all small! I have a HUGE Dragon that goes down and around my whole arm and Im a Manager at a GREAT job!! Its all about attitude!! Happy Tattooing!!!

A tattoo is going to hurt some, any place you get it. But it is not that bad, you can take it. You might want to start with an ankle or back tat so you can hide it and see how you feel after that one. Take your time deciding on a design, you will have it for a long time. To get ideas, visit tattoo shops. Tell them what you are thinking about and ask them to see flash books. Use the pictures as inspriation and create your own. A good tattoo artist will draw something up for you.

both your ankle and back of the neck would hurt because both have bone. will this be your first tattoo? if it is i would suggest not getting it on your neck. i thought about having a neck tattoo as my first but i didn't and am glad that i didn't. maybe one day i will but not for a long time. highly visible tattoos are a huge commitment.

also it's really hard for me to say what you should get but it should be something that has some kind of meaning to you or something that you really like. just to get some tribal design or something will have a bad end result. it is likely that you will regret getting it later in life if you don't seriously consider it first. good luck with whatever you decide.

I think the pain is different from person to person. I have one close to bone and one not anywere near bone. The one close to bone did not hurt at all! It felt like my foot feel asleep, all tickly. The other one hurt like nothing else.

I think ankle tattoos look unclassy. Definitely do a trial run where you get a fake tattoo put on and live with it for a few days before getting the real one.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

ankle will hurt more. I hear it hurts more over bone or a major organ. when I got my lower back done, it hurt the worst when they were near my tail bone. My friend got the back of her neck done and said it didnt hurt much. everyone is different.

Don't get tattoos, they look stupid and stay on your skin for life. You'll have a harder time getting a good job when your employers see your tats, and there's a chance that you'll contract hepatitis from the needle.

If you're a Christian, it's basically against the religion to get a tat :
Leviticus 19:28.

Don't get them. Trust me. Just don't.

Think hard before getting a tattoo anywhere it can't be easily covered. Ten years from now, you may not be so happy with it.
See the question from the stoner with the weed tat on his forearm.
