Which one should I get , a Regular 2003 RSX with 40000 miles or a 2006 Scion tc with 15000 miles (Both manual trans. and standard features)?? I know that tc has 160 hp and the RSX has 155hp , and in the same time that Scions are basically new in the market . Thats why I am all confused !

Tough question. Here's my answer:

Scion TC is cheaper (compared with where a new RSX is), which means cheaper to repair and cheaper to insure. Also, the Scion has less miles, and will hold its value a little better (considering someone has already borne the brunt of the loss by buying it while it was still brand new). The Scion is built by Toyota, so the reliability should be extremely good. As I recall, it's also slightly smaller, which equals lighter weight and a better power-to-weight ratio, which equals better performance. Also, if something does go wrong, Scions can be serviced at any Toyota dealer.

Acura RSX has more available aftermarket parts due to it being on the market longer, and has a slightly more upscale interior. Build quality is good, since it's built by Honda, but considering that the Scion brand is built by Toyota, expect equality in this area (also in reliability). Those are its only advantages. Acuras can be serviced at any Honda dealer.

I'd go with the Scion. It has less miles, which means less chance of something going wrong sooner, it has the same reliability, slightly more horsepower and should perform slightly better, will be cheaper to insure, and (if you're into modifying your car) will gradually have aftermarket parts available for it, just like the RSX did.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

The RSX will easily be the better handler, and the quicker of the two. The transmission will shift a little better, and the motor is more of a revver as well. The Scion is a bit roomier inside, and probably a better car on a long trip. Both are reliable, get good mileage and have well crafted interiors. You will presumably have some warrantly left on the Scion, whereas you are not likely to get more than a 30 day/1000 mile warranty on the Acura if you get a non-certified one from a dealer. If the Acura still has the original tires, they will need to be replaced soon. It is also a good bet that the brakes will be close to shot as well.

If the Acura was babied and taken care of (and has documentation to prove this) it would be good choice. They are very reliable and hold their values well. It is also more of a premium vehicle.

If you are unsure of the Acura's past, the Scion is the better choice.

RSXboy is right. If it's not a Type S RSX, they shopuld be about the same. The TC is a good car, but I have to say even the Base RSX has a slight advantage due to suspension setup, and gear ratios. The TC does have a bigger displacement though.
