Prophecies are usually self-fulfilling. And mostly by those who want to prove to themselves that they are true.
It's wierd, pointless and stupid, but then again, so is religion.

Nothing will artificially create what God's word has foreordained. All will happen just as His word has said, in His own timing.

i have often thought about this actually
they would be in the position to bring about the end of the world thus proving revelations correct ( deliberatly )
