what is the difference b/w associate degree and certificate if you study for x-ray/MRI/US?

I mean it takes about the same amount of time studying but which way is better or its all the same?

You only need a certificate, but if you want to go into management, you will need an advanced degree.

From what I understand the order of degrees are
Associates, Bachelors, Masters & Doctorate
You can have Certificates at any point along the way but they usually require you only take a few classes. Example - I have a Bachelor's and I can get a certificate in Education that allows me to teach after only 12 hours then stuedent teaching.
