You know, they’re just glad that they still call themselves Christian and adhere to some of the teachings. Maybe they don’t mind that the word of Genesis is inevitably eroding like a sand castle on the beach as a tide of new knowledge comes in.

As a pastor's wife, we do not overlook any such thing. Evolution is a direct conflict to the Biblical teaching of creation. In our congregation, we see no such trend. In fact, we are seeing more and more parents going to homeschooling, to be sure their children are taught the Biblical Truth of creationism.

in the adventure that they go with evolution over creationism, then they don't seem Christian. i do not care what they call themselves, in the adventure that they do no longer word the teachings of the Bible, then they are non-Christians. i do no longer trust in a literal 6-day creation, yet i do trust that God created the universe contained in the order that the Bible says that he did and that he did and does each and every of the coming up. no longer some thing is my random taking position or danger. God designs each and every thing. as far as sensible layout is in touch, that is taking the call of God out of the equation, that's secularizing Creationism to make it palatable to educators. that is blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

No surprise. The Bible told us to expect this very thing.
"But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, "(I Timothy 4:1)

"Let no one deceive you in any way, for (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first....
and for this reason God will send them strong delusion, so that they believe the lie, so that they all might be condemned because that did not receive the love of the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." (II Thessalonians 2:3,11,12)

I am a Christian and I don't believe in evolution no matter what. By the way, more and more new knowledge is coming in that the stories in Genesis are true after all. They have even found Noah's ark.

If someone believes in creation, why should they teach evolution if it's not what they believe. Just because lots of scientists believe something doesn't make it real, in my opinion evolution is not proven fact it is still just a belief.

Evolution is an accepted truth and it's taught as an important concept of the life sciences.... It's no big surprise that people accept it as fact - it's logical and it is passing all the tests and quires that are put to it.

Aren't you getting tired of this, dear? Surely there must be *something* in your life that's worth tending to right now rather than asking snide questions hoping to upset people?

If that is the case why are more scientists moving towards intelligent design. Not that either group proves truth.
