One part of the yard is hard. Cage training gets dogs to go outside t do their business. I suppose taking from the cage to your preferred site might work after repetitions.

Pick up some of droppings and put it where you want him/her to go and leave it there. When you see the dog start twirling around, lead him to that spot. BTW, long haired dogs twirl around before defecating to flatten the grass with their tails so that his own waste do not stick onto the fur.

I actually trained my dog to pee on command first. You do this by saying a cute catch phrase every time you let them out to do their business. ( I say " outside...go potty " ) Pretty soon they will go out whenever you say the phrase. After my dog learned to go whenever I said "outside...go potty" , I began taking her out to the designated area on a leash and saying the phrase so she would go in that place. With much repetition the dog will become conditioned to go in that area. You dont have to teach them a voice command...I just dont like to stand around all day while the dog sniffs around...its pretty cool to run out, say go, and be back in the house in about 2 minutes !

take her directly to the desired area and wait wait wait and wait until she does so in that spot. Praise her lavishly and continue to do this on a regular basis. If she goes in the wrong area, don't repremand her, just ignore it completely. It'll take patience because you're kind of asking a lot of your dog- not only can't she go in the house, she can't go on those blades of grass! :)

Let the dog go in any part of the yard the dog wants. Atleast it ain't peeing on your floor. I peed on your floor once and it was soooooooo good.
