Faith to me is to trust my life to the wisdom of Jesus' teachings.
examples:
If we forgive others for their mistakes, we will do well while we are on this Earth.
If we trust that being a harmony-loving person will eventually pay off in this world.
If we do the teachings of Jesus, we qualify as harmony-loving neighbors to the harmony-loving people of Heaven.
When we are tempted to hold a grudge against someone, or when we are tempted to get revenge against someone that hurts us, ------ we must have faith in Jesus' instructions to forgive the person - no matter what.
Jesus warned us, "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you"

I have faith that the things in the bible are true. Many people may call this "blind" faith. Not so. I have been studying the bible, in some depth, for ten years. That's a long time. I've read and thought about these things, and I've seen them proven true, inside my heart and mind, in my life, all around me. That is how I came to trust God and take Him at His word.

faith boiled down is really no longer some thing yet wishful wondering. that is a concept that has no evidential foundation, often a concept even with evidence on the opposite. Wishful wondering is really all faith is. that is a wish, a want a dream, a vapour, a chimaera, an ignis fatuus, a pipe dream, an hallucination born of our hopes and fears and superstitions. notwithstanding, there is yet another which technique of religion. faith=have self belief. this variety of religion can exist from evidence, and the most acceptable faith to have is faith in your self. the religion (have self belief, self belief) one has in acquaintances and loved ones who've shown themselves contained in the litmus attempt of truth, is a sturdy type of religion. One can't stay without this manner. the different varieties: concept without helping evidence, concept opposite to actuality, should be expunged. One ought to help an concept totally by technique of its evidential foundation, its starting up position in reality and truth. the a lot less evidence to help an concept, the weaker its grip should be on ourselves. the position there is little or no helping evidence, one ought to assume an agnostic stance, which isn't some thing yet an straightforward admission: "i do not recognize". the position concerns are arguable, which contain the muse of the Universe, the position we actually have inadequate documents, notwithstanding demanding it will be, the most acceptable stance to undertake is droop judgment till the documents is in. One then would area with what one deems the most "probable" option, yet making an allowance for the prospect of blunders.

Faith comes from the roots of courage and bravery. For me, to be able to have faith in something is for my will to exert itself and for my mind to overcome obstacles. Faith, like an emotion, seems to be a natural thing with people, like moral choices. It is there as a guiding object, and it is different for everyone, so I can't really say directly what it is and what it truly means.

Faith is believing what God says. It's more than saying (in essence)"I know this chair will hold me when I sit" It's going over and sitting in it ,proving it.It is putting your belief into action, like Abraham did with Isaac. He knew somehow or another the two of them were coming down that hill alive, because God had promised to make Isaac a great nation someday.Abraham even told his servants "Wait here ..and WE will return. As far as he knew he was to plunge a knife into Isaac but he believed God and put it into action...."and Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him as righteousness".

Well I see "faith" as being more of a verb, rather then an actual thing in and of itself... IMO faith is something you do; Believing in what you think is true.
