i own a shop,and a lot of those will inter change ,one thing about ford they use the same jacks for a lot of different vehicles ,but I'm like you i have seen both of them,and they do look about the same,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Same vehicle, just a couple extra doors added to the Sport Trac, and a smaller truck bed. So yes the jack will work. I personally carry a hydraulic bottle jack due to the dumb ways of cranking the OEM jacks its just easier lifting and lowering a lever than trying to crank on the jack handle.

ford mo co commonly uses one part on many vehicles. it is my understandink that the 4x4 jack is more heavy duty but will work great on a ranger.

yep theyre both scarry /unsafe screw jacks.
