Hi There; Registered Nurse here; First let me stress this is very little information to go on. However I will try, now I'm assuming this is new and not something you were born with. Many people are born with this condition. A line of abnormal color running lengthwise up and down the nail, can be toe nail or fingernail. Most likely if this is new, it's either blood beneath the toenail, for you may of injured your toe by bumping into something, secondly a fungal infection. Both are pure speculation here on the net. I would strongly urge you to see a physician if this is a new condition, for there are several other things that could be involved, from a blood abnormality to some type of exposure to toxic substance.

It ususally is caused from walking or running and the foot slides forward banging your toes against the top, which causes bruises giving the black look. You should have it checked by your doctor to seek treatment.

According to the picture on the website below it might be serious. It is hard to say without looking at YOUR nail. However, look at this site, especially the Melanonychia which are vertical pigmented lines... and the other website below it and see if you can find YOUR nail in the pictures...

Its possibly just bruises. If they were white, then its normal. If it was on the white PART then it could just be trapped dirt. I suggest going to see a doctor instead so that they could analyse it for a more detailed and accurate answer.

While both genital and plantar warts are caused by HPV they are caused by different types of HPV and you would not have transferred them to your labia. If you are a virgin you are almost certain NOT to have genital warts/HPV. If mild, the burning is likely nothing important but get it checked out if it continues.

It could be a result of an old injury. Allow it grow out and trim it off as it grows.
