well there.. you just gave yourself the clue..." and is mean to a lot of people". Why would you want to date someone that is MEAN? That's a dead give away... Choose someone with a pleasant personality and I assure you that your friends might agree on your choice. Don't lower your standards, especially if you are a fun loving person.. and I bet you have a great personality... Hey, to me, zits are not an issue, YET personality IS a BIG FACTOR.

Well, one thing you should always remember is that you should never judge someone by looks....the zits will one day fade (hopefully). As for being weird?...Who in this world isn't weird to some degree? The only thing that i'm not sure about is the fact that he is mean to people...Does he get angry easily? or is he violent in anyway? These are big red flags that this guy is not dating material. As for your friends, if you think dating this guy will ruin your friendship, then you should probably not persue a relationship. A guy should accept you as is...and since your friends are a part of your life, he should accept them as well. There are plenty of guys out there! But good friends are hard to find.

You say he is mean to other people? Have you ever heard the saying "Judge me not by the color of my skin but by my Character? If he is being mean to people, why would you want to be with some one like that? I am assuming you have spoke to him and he was nice to you, hmmmmm The case may be that he is mean to people who are mean to him. Unfortunately alot of people judge others by what they wear, how they look and how much money they have. And if you friend is lacking in these areas, they consider him a Loser. You have to make the decision for yourself, why you like him. But pay attention to your friends also, they may be on to something here, and your liking him is stopping you from seeing the truth.

A friend stands by you no matter what, that means you don't have to impress your friends to keep them.

If you like this guy and you can somehow look past his imperfections, you could see why he has to push people away and find out the truth about him.

If your friends can't support you...they're truly shallow friends. It may seem friends are really important at your age, but a true friend, like I said, will always stand by your side and believe in what you believe.

You don't have to convince them.

Why would you want to be with someone like that. Just because he has zits doesn't give him the right to mistreat people. Especially your friends. Is he the only boy in town? I don't think so. Look for someone else to like.

If you like him than I would explain that to your friends. How is he mean to people? If he would be mean to you in any way or your friends then you wouldn't want to be with him. If he is weird, looks bad, and is mean why do you like him? Do you think this or does your friends think this?

Zits is one thing but being mean is something else. If you can't get him to stop being mean, maybe you should consider throwing in the towel on this friendship..

Is this a case of opposites attracting? Well if you really like him and don't care what others think, then you should go for it. It's your heart and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

love is shown to us in many shapes and sizes and colours and textures. It's a shame that people can't see beyond that.
Because you can, then you both deserve each other and if your friends can't handle that then, they weren't friends in the first place.

Forget your friends. If you miss this opportunity you will regret it and harbor resentment towards friends. I think your friends are shallow anyway.
