i am in virginia, was involved in a car accident. I received two tickets: driving without a license, and, not paying attention to the road. Will go to court, what penalties apply in this situation?

Mostly fines, plus if you have insurance you'll get a big rise in your premiums. I think they can suspend your license too. Probably won't go to court, unless the person wants to sue you or something too. Hope you weren't talking on a cell phone. Accidents happen though, everyone gets into them.

If you get busted for driving without a license its not a big deal in itself but that almost never happens. It depends since you didn't have a license and weren't supposed to be driving the accident is all your fault, no matter how it happened. Depending on injuries, and other charges I'd be more concerned about the civil consequences. You're going to be financially reponsible for all the damages.

I'm no lawyer but I'd say that's going to cost you more than the fine for driving without a license, and the inattention. Good for your parents that you are 18 means they may not be bankrupted by the whole deal. Although whoever owned the car is probably going to get sued as well.

You're going to be in court more than once better get a lawyer.

You drove your father's motor vehicle without his permission? What the **** have been you doing taking his motor vehicle? you're so screwed! What have been you questioning? and how ought to you forget approximately to coach your lights on? The area that fairly kills me is which you're saying you probably did it to help a chum. I advise, once you are going to threat moving into deep **** like that, a minimum of do it for the reason which you want to attempt the acceleration or something. what type of vehicle does your father have besides? A Mercedes? you probable needed to roll it in front of the Olive backyard to seize some chicks, no longer that bs you declare approximately attempting to help a chum out. i don't be attentive to, only holiday your scooter next time ok?

sounds like 2 traffic violations. that is usually a $$ punishment.

if you were in texas, you would have received several tickets in relation to the accident. possibly: to fast for conditions (ie the condition of the other car being in front of you and you didn't stop fast enough to avoid collision), wreckless driving, etc.
then you would be taken to jail for either Driving While License Invalid or Failure to ID. the invalid liscense charge covers everything from expired or suspended license to not having a license. the officer could opt for the Failure to ID charge because you don't have a license on you to identify yourself.
they are fairly tough on driving offenses in tx.

Most likely a fine. Maybe some jail depending on your record, the judge etc... I'd be more worried about getting sued by the person you hit, because without a DL, you most likely had no insurance. Good luck with that!
