About 3-4 months ago my ex-gf dumped me for no valid reason .. she said she didnt want a bf anymore. It hurt me alot, it took me a while to get over it. Now I'm finally ok, I meet new people etc. I found out 1 month ago that she's back with her ex that cheated on her once. Now since I didnt talk to her anymore I found it quite funny ... you know .. told myself I deserve better. I don't talk to her anymore since she's with the other guy. We never had any fights etc, everything went smoothly.
Was I the rebound guy? She did love me, however at a certain point she simply told me she didnt love me anymore and I couldnt find the reason why. We didnt have a fight, everything was perfect. Do you guys think she left me because she still had some feelings for her ex that had cheated on her? She was with him for 3 years... and he was her first love.

i think she may have had feelings for you, but once her ex resurfaced, she felt more feelings for him and left you for him becuase she still has feelings for him. Dont worry about it, she'll be hurt again, once a cheater always a cheater

Sounds exactly like what I went through not that long ago, and I know it sounds cliche but for most girls, their first love is the deepest. Unfortunatly, for the most part, they will always have some sort of feelings for that person regardless of what has happened in the past (including with cheating a-holes).
When a girl is with her first love that long, she grows used to everything in that relationship and will base her future relationships on that. If for whatever reason she doesn't feel like things are "right", she will go back to what she felt comfortable with. Unfortunatley for us mate it was "the other guy".

Yes, she still had feelings for him. He killed her ego and getting back with him is what we call repair. Now she will either stay with him, or she will get sweet revenge. You just sit back and watch. It can be quite comical at times.
Dont take it too bad though. I am sure she cared about you, but her feelings for him were historic and like i said, he hurt her, so it helps her that she has him back for whatever reason it may be.
You just move on and find a nice gal to make a life with. You deserve better and chances are, this gal will either get hurt again or she will get revenge on him lol

I think your train of thought is valid my boy. She was with you to get him out of her mind. Don't think about it anymore, which is impossible, so try to find some resolve. Your speciall lady is waiting for you to ask her out. Don't waist your time with the thought of your ex.

Sounds to me like you got used to bolster her self esteem, and maybe to show him she could find someone else if she wanted to. Obviously she had feelings for him or she would'nt have gone back to him. Or Maybe she ca'nt handle being with a nice guy. Or maybe you were just a re-bound guy.
