That's what I learned in the Bible: Genesis 38:8-10

"Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also."

Peace!
You should have addressed your question to Jews.
Anyway, the story teaches us something. Withdrawal is a form of abortion in God's eyes that's why Onan was punished.

I have always said again and again in this section that the Bible should be read in the same level it was written - spiritual. The important thing is the revelation which I just gave you. When we read the Bible this way, God will speak to us. On the other hand, if you read it critically or literally you can justify almost anything. Even Satan used the Bible to tempt Jesus.
God bless.

If you had any common sense you would not be asking this question. There are enough children in this world looking for a new home without you having to sleep with your brothers wife. There are also medical solutions to their problem.

stay out of it.

No I would not do it based on the scripture cause this person was given okay by the Lord and refused and killed himself and with the new commandents of Jesus this has been done away with.

I don't think God is now trying to tell us we need to populate the Earth nor do I think anyone alive is called to go "seed" His Sister-In -Law...God also told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac(GEN. 22:2)
Does that mean you think we are all supposed to sacrifice our sons???? There will be a time when all will face THE TRUTH....Until then........It's your choice
