After reading a question posted by an individual about us wearing crosses; my question is this:

What does wearing the empty cross vs the cross with Christ on it mean to you?

Maybe if those that don't understand the wearing of the cross to us.. they will see why we wear them, when we wear them.

The empty cross ... tells me that Christ is no longer in the grave... He is Risen!!!

The one which bears Him upon it... tells me that Christ went there in place of me... He sacrificed His life for you and me.....

I wear a cross that does not have Jesus still on it, because it represents that indeed, Jesus is no longer on the cross, but has risen. The cross I used to wear, (lost it) actually had a ruby where the timbers cross, to reflect His precious blood being spilled for us.

However, I don't resent others for wearing a cross with a symbol of Jesus on it.

My cross is empty because Jesus is alive! It's a humble reminder of the gift Jesus has given us all. I remember how He suffered when I am bearing my own cross in life. It's just another way of showing my faith, my testimony of God. I'm honored to wear it.

May God Bless you.

I was told that the cross with Jesus was a Catholic cross. The one without was a Protestant cross.
I don't wear one and I am a Christan.

Depends on what you see as more meaningful: the suffering Christ endured, or the resurrection.

i answered that question .. and i understand the difference between the two crosses
and no one has a right to tell you what to wear and what not to
and i would say this about the Muslim ladies who wear the scarf
and anyone else who wishes to be proud of their beliefs

because my Jesus is no longer on the cross,
I would only wear a plain one.
I choose not to wear any cross.
Jesus is no longer the man pictured on the cross.
Jesus is God.
He is glorious.
mighty.
awesome.
