My body has always been old, and needed repairs, but my mind joined in after my mom died last year.... I was 43...
OLD in GOOD ways, as now I speak my mind about truths... because time is short and people should not be mean or selfish with eachother...
but OLD in ways that hurt too. Like when no one cares or listens to how dang smart I suddely became.

I'm 42 and I even though I am experiencing changes in my body and health I don't like to think of myself as "going downhill"; that it's just the normal aging progress. It's not always pleasant; I have aches and pains I didn't have 10 years ago, but mentally/emotionally/spiritually I'm better than I ever was and that makes all the physical effects no so important. One thing that is difficult sometimes is being more aware of my mortality knowing that I'm only going to get older; more and more people that I know are dying which makes me even more aware and that makes me want to live everyday to it's fullest and be the best person I can be.

I think it was around 35! The year my butt fell. That was my first sign of physical aging.
Now, at 42, running after a toddler, barely remembering what it was like the first time I was a mom (nineteen years ago!) I definitely feel "older" now. For example, it's really hard to get up from a sitting position on the floor. I have to do it in chunks of discrete movements sometimes. And my reaction time has definitely decreased in the past five years or so, but maybe because of all the meds I've been on? I actually drive as little as possible because of it. (Have had poor night vision for years now.)
Sorry, but that's my truth.
I think I'm going to try yoga or tai chi instead of regular workouts, try to lose about 30 lbs, improve my diet, and hope to feel and act younger. Longevity runs in my family, so if I'm fortunate enough to live long, I'd like to feel as good as possible. I'd sure like to see my little one grow up and be able to keep up with her!

Felt old when I hit 40,now 49, just a number, I feel like I'm 20 years old. I can do the same, if not more than when I was 20. I said I'm 49, but I look like I'm 35.

I'm 55 and I haven't started feeling old yet! I have more energy, stamina and strength than most people my age. I most definitely am not slowing down. I'm not wrinkled or stooped. My reactions are lightning quick. My mind is excellent. Nothing's sagging. Kind of scary, huh?

I'm 48. Three years ago (about), I started noticing it took me a little longer to get started in the mornings, and by the end of the day, I was ready to sit down and relax. But I haven't let it change anything in my life, as of yet. Worrying about it only makes it worse. When you start to convince yourself you are, you will be.

After I turned 50 years old, everything started changing. I have trouble walking because my legs hurt, I cannot breathe after I come upstairs, of course the wrinkles came, there's like nothing I can do with my hair, my driving got worse, and my memory went kaput!

I'm 39 and I don't feel old yet. Things are changing, but "old" is definitely NOT the right word to describe how I feel. Maybe I'd say that I feel like I'm finally broken in. Like maybe the new car smell is gone.
