I think it should be considered, but not really a factor for finding a spouse. I don't think you should go out and date/marry someone just because of their religious beliefs. Or specifically look for/date someone from one religious group (say Baptist or Catholic for example).
But after finding someone you are interested in, care for and start to love....if your to the point of talking marriage...considering their religious beliefs may be important. For example.....if a Christian met and fell in love with a Wiccan, but didn't know right away what the differences were in their beliefs........it would be wise to consider wither you can be open minded about their path to allow them to have their faith and you still have yours. Understanding would be the key. How well you understand and respect each others different religions would greatly help keep problems from arising later on.

Should it be? I guess that depends.
For some people, a sense of humor or compassion might be the number one factor in dating a person. For others it might be honesty. It just depends what is important to you. For some people, faith is very important in their lives and thus they consider that as a leading factor in spouse "selection".
I don't think people should negate all possibilities simply because their faith is different. You might find that a person of different faith, has all the other qualitites that are important to you.
Either way, it's up to us each to choose what qualities are necessary in a potential spouse. Hardly anyone is going to come up with the same list, and the characteristics in the same order of importance.

I don't think so. Faith is believing in something without evidence. So I don't think is factor in finding a spouse.

That would depend on how tolerant the person is. If the person is very closed minded and unwilling to be open to another's differences then he/she should probably seek out someone with the same beliefs as he/she. I think two people of different religious backgrounds can have a very satisfying relationship if they are respectful of each other and their beliefs. So My answer is no.

To me yes, Jesus is #1.
Therefore why would I want some one who hates Jesus as a wife.

Only you should avoid people who are so religious they've gone off the deep end.
Most normal people are okay.
