It depends where the pain is. If you are athletic and it is in the areas that you use during sports or exercise, that may be okay, but only until your body gets used to it. Aches and pains are not normal in teens if they are constant and do not go away. It could be a sign of juvenile arthritis, strained joints from obesity or excess weight, or something else. Your best bet is to go see an orthopedic surgeon and just get a general check up to be sure. Good luck.

if your pains are in your thigh muscles and it feels like a pulling then yes it is "growing pains" still you are 14 yrs old and thats when the majority of kids start really growing. take a ADVIL before bed and in the AM before school take a warm to hot shower and make sure the water hits your areas where you are in pain.

im almost 14 myself, and jsut went through growing 6 inches. if you have been growing alot it probably is muscle pain. my doc told me to eat lots of bananas and take a tylenol if my joints or muscles hurt alot.

Well if you didn't play anything the day before (like football or something) then it's most likely the mattress your sleeping on, I used to have this same problem and it drove me crazy.
