I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this sudden onset of symptoms? he will walk and then all of a sudden - bag legs wobble and he is unable to continue - and stops. He does not seem to be in any pain and is eating and everything as normal, aside from this symptom. I will be bringing him to the Vet on monday, but just wondered if anyone had anything like this happen ? I do not believe it to be arthritis as it was SUDDEN, and he is not very old. He's always been very healthy and was just at the vet for a yearly check up last week, all was normal then too.

It could be one of several things.

Check his gums to see if they are pale, (most minis gums are black) is his urine orange or appearing to possibly have blood in it, are the whites of his eyes yellow? If so, I wouldn't wait until monday.

I'm sorry you can't get to the vet any sooner. This sounds like he may have had crystals in his urine - my dog had the same (at 1 year old), and suddenly could not walk up the stairs! He passed it and everything was fine. Hope your little guy is OK.

It sounds neurological. If he just seems weak then yes I would check the gums and make sure they are not white but nice and pink. If I were you I would take a video camera and tape it for the vet so he can see it for himself...murphy's law says that when you try to get him to do it at the vet, he won't. Good luck.

Sounds like a major calcium deficiency to me, same thing happened to my girlfriends dog, take it to the vet, it may need meds for a couple weeks, but it should do the trick.
