That depends on whether there is any other source of income, is there any income from a disability pension or retirement pension, any interest income etc. If there is another source of income it may or may not cause the social security disability to become taxable. This also includes any spousal income if you are married filing jointly.
Up to 85% of Social Security benefits can be taxable based on the amounts of other income.
But if the only source of Income is SSD then none of the benefits would be taxable.

Nope, you do not have to file taxes. If no one had a job in your house then there is no income to be taxable. Social Security is not taxable.

no taxes are being taken out of your check , so no need 2 file.. but if you worked part of last year, then yes, you need 2 file.. and a good chance you will get some of it back..
