As a 13yo there is little to nothing you can do about your parents. I'm sorry for you, as a Teacher I hear about these things a lot. hang in there, stay out of the way, do not take sides and do not intimidate anyone so that they won't hit you. Be strong, I know that's asking a lot of a 13yo, but reach inside you and gather all the love and strength you can and try to be strong for you and perhaps your Mom. Good Luck

Aww... I know times can be tough. Life doesn't always seem fair, people are sometimes jerks and our expectations aren't always met by the ones we love. But things do get better. I know it may not mean much at this moment, but as you get older, you tend to develop a better sense of yourself so people can't hurt you as easily and you get perspective. Your coping mechanism right now isn't half of what it will be as you become an adult. So hang in there - it won't always be as hard as it is now.

To get through this, you should talk to someone. If you can't talk to your parents, confide in a friend. Or a teacher. Or a guidance councilor. Or all of the above. A lot of times, airing our problems, having someone listen, and getting feedback is all that we need to keep going.

So this is a good start - posting the question here. Try to find someone in your life, though, that you can actually have a conversation with. Hopefully with a little support and a little time, this will all seem like a distant memory in a few months' time.

Take care and hope you feel better soon,

Indie

A good place to start is with your school counselor. Keep in mind that the only way that person can help you is if you are willing to talk about the things that are troubling you and if you ask for help. Hang in there. It's hard being a teenager and it's hard when your parents fight. Go talk to your counselor on Monday! : )

Wait til your mom is available and show this question to her. This is a chance for the two of you to support each other right now. Best of luck.

tell the boy that he is wrong and you don't care about his feelings. Talk with your parents and tell them your not going to take it if they still won't listen tell your parents then you will move to your friends house. That will get them going and hug both of them and tell them you love them.
