Last night I was at my Mom's.I went in the kitchen and got a glass of Pepsi and went back and set down in the living room.Well, a few minutes later tmy step dad starts yelling saying "People come over here and don't empty any ice trays and thats just lazy"BLA BLA BLA.So I didn't say anything back to him and set there a few minutes and visited with my mom and cousins who were here from Oklahoma.I don't know about the guy, he's always saying something about what I do and I'm 35 gawldamn years old.My 3 year old acts more mature than he does.He acts like I sell drugs out of my house or rob banks or someshit. But I don't do anything but rasie my kid.Why do old people do that?

The elder members of our society feel as though there is some entitlement to b*tch and moan about life little tribulations. God forbid someone didn't fill up the ice trays, holy hell .. someone didn't replace the toilet paper!! I think it's because they are so incredibly set in their ways, and their opinions are ingrained in to their brains with no room for considering alterior options. You just have to consider the source, and keep the peace with your mother. My step dad is a major pain in the ****; but as long as my mother is happy, that's all that has to matter.

Don't go over to visit there at all if this how your step dad is going to treat you. Ask your mom to meet you for supper if you want to see her.

Such erratic and bizarre behaviour, your step dad must be in his 2nd childhood already. If your step dad makes you feel like that I would just sooner just stay away from him period.

What he did was very totally uncalled for,

is it possible for you to ask him why he has to yell at you. Then suggest to him that maybe if he spoke to you in a calm voice that you could answer him. Ask him why you irk him so much. Let him know you love your mom and family and would like to get along with him too. He is getting old and maybe he needs to see his doctor. They say people who get old revert to childhood.
