You need to give her playtime with you and training time, when she misbehaves grabbing food, putting her in a cage won't teach her anything, she can't make the association! When she trys to grab food, get between her and the food and use a deep negative NO and stand over her starring at her. If she persists tell her again and add a shake by the scruff of her neck while you say NO again. Repetition is the key, be consistent. Make sure you are playing and grooming and bonding and that she is not just being "bad" to get any attention at all, thus-negative attention. A young energetic pup will find destructive entertainment if left to be lonely and bored. Get her chewy toys and Kong toys you can put Peanut butter in, that will keep her busy if you are away. But mostly she needs interactive time with you. Coming into heat generally makes them skiddish, shy, trembly and wanting attention, she does not seem to be exhibiting signs of heat.

First, read Cesar's Way by Cesar Millan so you'll have a basic understanding of what you dog needs to be emotionally healthy. I suspect the problems stem from this dog being incredibly spoiled and incredibly bored, and no one is going to be able to solve your problem here. Try to find a good trainer in your area, and until you do, take her on the longest walks you have time for (preferably an hour or more two or three times a day). When she is tired and content, and knows you are the pack leader, she is much less likely to misbehave. As a reminder, obedience classes help teach your dog to follow specific commands, but they won't teach her how to behave. She has to respect you for that. Good Luck!!
PS: I'm not sure why everyone thinks spaying her is going to make her behave. She should definitely be spayed (and soon!) but that isn't going to stop her from jumping on the table, stealing food, etc.

It is normal for dogs who do not get their energy needs met. You should enroll her in an obedience class so that you can learn how to train your dog. The best way to train a dog, is for the owner to be trained on how to train their dog.
Never punish a dog using the crate. You are only penting up more of her energy that needs released. She is not a child who you put in a room to punish, she is a canine species who needs a human to understand her needs as such.
Get educated about dog behavior and training and you can then work successfully with your dog.

Don't punish your dog for your carelessness. She's having hormonal issues right now, so get her spayed as soon as you can and take a class. Hope you can repair your relationship with your dog.
