How long should I polysporin/bandage them? The doctor said they would scab and fall off and that i didnt need to treat them for more than a day or so, but somebody else told me it was very important to not let them scab for minimal scarring.... They are still dark in colour..

I wasnt going to reply but the other two answers were not very informative so:
My opinion is your DR. is correct that you don't need to treat them, but that is a medical answer. If it were me I would be putting Mederma or Neosporin all over that!
Also or JoJoba Oil promotes healing as I have heard and is very moisturizing which should help...!!!!

I had one on my leg taken off a few years ago, and I remember just keeping a bandage over it, and putting the polysporin on it for about a week or so, until it completely healed. One difference is that mine was physically cut out, not lasered off, so there might be a difference in treatment there. But I would keep a bandage over it for about a week, just to keep it clean and keep anything from rubbing against it, possibly making any infection worse. It can't hurt to keep treating it. Mine did scab and there is a small scar there, but after it heals, just put get some vitamin E capsules, pierce it with a needle and then rub the liquid over the scar to reduce the appearance. You can use the same capsule for a few days, not all at once.

I would keep fresh bandages on them with the medicine your doctor prescribed. I'm guessing it's petroleum based and has an antibiotic to protect from infection.

Neosporin works great at healing keep it moisturised for minimal scarring.
