I've done research and the highest dollar amount I've found is $1,000 to put on a prepaid card, does anyone know where I can find one that allows more than $1,000 on the prepaid debit?

Hotels require a credit card to hold the reservation. You do not have to actually charge the room to that credit card. You can pay cash at checkout instead. Check to see if the hotel will accept a prepaid credit card. If so, you need to put at least 3 or 4 times the room rate on that card. Hotels will put that kind of hold on a card to make sure there are plenty of funds to cover the room and incidentals. You could use a debit card to hold the reservation but keep in mind that the hotel will put that big hold on the cash in your bank account.

I am pretty sure that no one offers prepaid over the limit you require. They whole idea is to be responsible with CREDIT !!
They company will return your $1000 after the period of probation and using the card expires. You MUST use the card and make on time payments. You also receive a good credit rating after that time expires.

Set up a bank account. Put your money into that. Use a debit card.... just make sure you request a large transaction limit.
