Take a deep breath, release slowly. Do it 3 times.

Now breathe in to the count of 8, breathe out to the count of 12. Do this 5-6 times. Close your eyes and focus on the breathing, how your chest /belly rises and falls. Try thinking only about the breathing for the duration.

You should be already calmed by now. If you can lie down, do so. Now imagine that your entire body is sinking in the earth. Let the body sink by itself. Focus on deep breathing. This should get you relaxed.

Good luck.

Breath, Make a list of things that you have to do and then break it into a schedule and put some breaks into it like 4:00-do math
4:45- do science . Then make a snack and start working really hard on things. Then when you are done take a hot shower or bath and make it long and have on your favorite tunes and then just relax and then just go to bed knowing you finished everything and you aren't so stressed out :-)
or do what i did i was crying so hard one night because i was so stressed out and i went to my mom (she was sleeping and it was 10:45 ish) and she said to me that we would get everything worked out and then she gave me a sleeping pill and that night i felt so good to have my mom know how i felt. I hope it worked fo you... Good luck! And relax everything will be fine!

I use a relaxation technique I learned from Theatre.

Lay on your back, legs on the floor, feet shoulder length apart. Close your eyes and breath deeply. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Then, tighten the muscles in your feet for a few seconds and release, repeat. Keep the same deep breathing pattern and then tighten the muscles in your calfs, then your thighs, then press the small of your back to the floor, then ball your hands into fists, then press your shoulder blades to the floor, then wrinkle your forehead. Do each of them for a few seconds and then completely release, keeping the same breathing pattern. Then imagine your favorite place, somewhere that none of your troubles reach you. Keep up the breathing pattern. After you can feel yourself wherever you chose to be, slowly stretch, then roll on your side, then slowly get up.

I hope that it helps. You might need to have someone talk you through it instead of remembering it yourself. Good Luck!

Listen to relaxing cd music. Classical music really gets to me, because the story isn't something you really "get", you make it up yourself. Lavender is proven to have a relaxing scent. Yoga, meditation, slow positive rituals like that. Do you know what, though? Relaxing can be anything you like to do! Its a time to think about yourself, and how your life, or even day is going. Relaxing can be excercise, even though I would rather be doing yoga!
