Vinegar in most forms is safe (avoid malt vinegar and check on any flavored vinegar that has had other ingredients added afterward).
The maximal daily consumption of vinegar by an average person is of the order of 30 ml ( 6 teaspoons).
This is because of the higher acid content, (it can upset your stomach)... 100 ml and you'll get drunk, (but you'll probably vomit from it before you get wasted). LOL.
In quantities of 30 ml per day, it has many, many heath benefits!
Everything from wight loss and preventing kidney stones to getting rid of head lice and treating Type 2 Diabetes.

Like anything, if taken in moderation it should be fine. Taking apple cider vinegar, for instance, is said to promote health and is sometimes used to aid in weight loss. It is healthy because that is why many salad dressings contain vinegar. But if you take too much, it could upset the stomach, but it won't do harm. Not unless you take loads and loads... but why would you do such a thing anyway? So you are fine with a sip or two like you say.

ACV (apple cider vinegar) is not bad for you. It is healthy. It is in most old style salad dressings. I love to saturate cucumber slices in it with salt. Eat up. Don't eat anything else before you go to sleep and you will wake up in better health. That is because it helps your immune system (which exists mostly in your intestines... did you know that???) However, I am not aware of the weight loss characteristics. I would not drink more than a few ounces per day.

When I drink vinegar, I get a pretty serious stomach ache for 30 minutes or so. But, still, I drink it about once every three months just because I have an urge. I hear you sister.

white distilled vinegar is not good for you to drink,it acidity is too strong for your stomach and can cause pain.esp if drank straight.but apple cider vinegar is good for you if diluted in water.if you drink it at the first signs of diarrhea it helps alot. I actually crave vinegar at times, when i was pregnant i sprinkled it on everything i ate.I ve heard it is a good anti tox thing.

There are so many opinions on that. Some say there are health benefits to vinegar (usually the apple cider kind though). Others say it's hard on your lining.
I really think that if you do it too much it could be harmful. But really, if it's in moderation, you will be just fine.

I take a swig out of my cider vinegar bottle every day at least once a day when I open my fridge for anything. I have had no problems and ive been doing that as long as I can remember

Vinegar is an acid. Drinking large amounts of it can upset the acid balance in your stomach and possibly cause acid reflux or ulcers.

Try and use vinegar in small amounts, and only sometimes. It's very acidic. I prefer to use it to clean. Did you know it's so acidic, it can eat away at metal? Now that gives you a hint of what it does when it's in you! :P

It is bad for the teeth - the acid weakens them. So rinse your mouth out with clean water afterwards. If you have a bacterial infection in the throat, it helps fix it because the acidity kills bacteria.
