St Jude's hospital is a very good charity. Many children have been saved there from all kinds of cancers. Even when the families could not afford it. It was Danny Thomas' favorite. He actually ramrodded all the special cancer work being done there. (not the actual medical work but the charity part of it)

Yes I do now and yes they are definitely legit. They work wonders and I would love to work there, I just don't want to leave Texas. I work in a children's hospital here in Texas. I'm a nurse practitioner specializing in cancer and hematologic disorders of children. St. Judes is a fantastic hospital...one of the best in the nation. Don't be afraid to give if you feel the need to do so. They rely on donations to be able to care for patients who otherwise could not afford extensive treatment.

This is a very legit charity founded by the late actor, Danny Thomas, and now run by his daughter, actress Marlo Thomas. Many celebrities give huge amounts of money and time to St. Judes--it is for critically ill children.

St. Judes is legitimate, I have donated, and my niece was a poster child once when she was born with two extra thumbs, they removed one and made sure the other would work properly. They did growth surgeries as necessary, she is now 17.

St. Judes is a wonderful charity founded by the late Danny Thomas and continued by his daughter, Marlo.
You could always ask them to send you or look it up on the Internet - their financial report.

I have donated to them. They really do what they say....they never deny care to someone just because they can't afford treatment. They're a-ok in my book. Good charity.

If you are talking about the children's hospital...the one Marlo Thomas advertises, yes it is a good charity. Once you donate to them though, they send you stuff all the time asking for more. It is the kind of stuff that makes you feel guilty if you don't send more. I quit donating because of it. I kind of felt that they were using the sick kids for donations.

St. Jude is very much legitimate.
The complete name is St. Jude Research Children's Hospital, and it is located in Memphis Tennessee.
They offer complete help to children fighting cancer at no charge to the family.
I know this is very much so because my sister went there. My family continue to donate money to St. Jude, and participate in fundraiser activities; such as the St. Jude Walk-a-Thorn.
"St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
We are where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do more science, more quickly. Where doctors across the world send their toughest cases and most vulnerable patients. Where no one pays for treatment beyond what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are never asked to pay. We've built America's 3rd-largest health-care charity, with a model that keeps the costs down and the funds flowing, so the science never stops.
All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay." 1
"Today's basic and clinical research at St. Jude includes work in bone marrow transplantation, gene therapy, chemotherapy, the biochemistry of normal and cancerous cells, radiation treatment, blood diseases, resistance to therapy, viruses, hereditary diseases, infectious diseases, and psychological effects of catastrophic illnesses. Now blessed with the first sizable population of adults living cancer free after having received chemotherapy and radiation treatments as children, the hospital stays in touch with these former patients in order to conduct long-term biostatistical investigations on the history of their health. Potential secondary problems related to their disease treatment could result in chemotherapy and radiation adjustments that improve the life of future children diagnosed with cancer.
St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from more than 70 foreign countries. All were accepted by physician referral because the children had newly diagnosed diseases that were under research at St. Jude. Ability to pay has not been an issue for admittance for one single patient. St. Jude is the only pediatric research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay.
Through striking improvements in the care of pediatric leukemias and numerous forms of solid tumors, Thomas’ “little hospital in Memphis”—which now has daily operating costs of $1,220,004—has brought about improved health care for children all over the world." 2
