Wow! Hell is a pretty stiff punishment for believing in evolution, nevertheless, let me add the following.
I think as long as a person's evolution does not get in the way of the Bible's definition of his God, maybe they'll be safe. For instance, I have heard that some believe that God may have used X number of years to evolve creatures as part of His design.
Christians believe that God has the power to speak His creation into existence and that He created the entire universe out of nothing, and that He created Eve from Adam when there were no other humans yet.
Here is where I see staunch evolution getting in the way of the Bible. If a person's evolution dictates that man evolved from a primordial soup, and that he was created without the active breath of God, then that person's religion is in jeopardy. If a person's evolution dictates that the big bang brought about everything by chance and that there is no God, then that person, in order to avoid hell, must repent of his evolution.
Ineresting thing about evolution is that Darwin didn't even believe it. Too late! Our God hating world loves it more than Him - especially because it is man's foolish way of explaining away God.

No. I have viewed how both sides look at the evidence for evolution and the fact is Evolutionists make more assumptions than scientific Creationists. Micro-evolution is acknowledged as a scientific fact by creationists but, macro-evolution (a species evolving into another new species) has NEVER been observed and Requires making assumptions. Finally, most evolutionists never even look at the scientific creationists view, while the creationists have looked into and been educated about evolution.
One example of how the two interpret data pertains to anatomical similarities. The forelimb of a man can be compared bone for bone to the flipper of a whale or the wing of a bird. An Evolutionists looks at the evidence and interprets it as, "Common ancestor." A scientific Creationist looks at the same evidence and says, "Common design." Now, who is making the assumption? There is no assumption in saying "Common design" because it is a statement of fact. However, to say "Common ancestor" is a huge assumption that cannot be validated.

No. I am a Christian who believes in creation. I believe that evolution is simply another religion where the gods of time and chance are the objects of worship.
The Bible gives 2 definitions for blasphemy;
1. When a man makes himself God or presumes to take upon himself the prerogatives of God
2. When a man claims to be able to forgive sins.
It is the character of an individual not simply their faith or lack of faith in something or someone that decides their eternal destiny.
This question reveals some misunderstanding about creationists in general and hell in particular.
God never promises immortality to those who reject His love and Jesus Christ so that they can spend billions of milleniums in the flames of hell. This teaching is not in the Bible and is mostly mythical.
The danger of the evolutionist or anyone who persists in turning away from God is the potential for the permanent mold of an unChristlike character
The unrigheous, Satan, death and hell itself will be destroyed in the lake of fire according to the Bible.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Those who will perish in the lake of fire will be destroyed because of their lifetime choices that served to develop a character unfit for the kingdom of heaven. In order for a person to be fitted for heaven, he or she must have a Christlike character.
A Christlike character is the only kind of character that could enjoy heaven and the only kind of character that could be trusted in heaven.
The faith of the evolutionist is misplaced. It is centered in human reasoning with the human mind at its summit.
As a creationist I believe that Samuel F.B. Morse invented the morse code even though I have never met him.
I do not believe as the evolutionist does regarding the DNA code; that it is the result of an explosion or an expansion of nothing caused by nothing billions of years ago.
There are very intelligent creationists and very intelligent evolutionists. Both have incomplete and imperfect comprehension.
One acknowledges a superior and even supreme Mind while the other gives glory to the human mind.

Evolution is a theory of how life evolved in form through time. Evolution is not incompatible with the belief that God created the world. After all, nothing can come from nothing.
So no, you do not go to hell for believing that life has evolved at all.

Yes. Quite a few of them on this board have come right out and said so.
Their excuses for not believing it range the gamut from ignoring inconvienent facts to twisting what they can't ignore, and outright making other nonsense up on the fly to avoid the subject.
I've even heard accusations that ALL scientists ALL AROUND THE WORLD are engaged in a massive conspiracy created for the sole purpose of defying Christianity. Attributed motives vary.

Evolution as basphemy? No, it is not even close. Educated Creationists see it for what it is: just one THEORY (amongst many) hatched up by man throughout history in the feeble attempt to discredit reality.

Look, God says he created the universe and everything in it. He doesn't say scientifically how or when. So for someone to say that the bible says the world is 6,000years old or a scientist to say its 4.6billion years old is crazy. WE DON'T KNOW! All we are told is he created it. Things do "evolve" to compensate for changes in their environments. Did we come from a pool of slime or micrscopic organisms...God says he made us from the clay or dirt of the earth...so whats to say how he "scientifically" did it or how long it all took. If God didn't give us that exact information then we didn't need to know yet. I'm sorry that many christains or so called christains have twisted the whole perception of God for so many people, especially on here. Now I don't like when people do nothing but try to disprove God and put down everyone who has faith in him. But when it comes down to how and when did everything in this universe came about... don't trip. We know that God is, and he made us. One day we can all ask God how and when. Until then I think we have better things to talk about. Atleast that we should argue and hate eachother over it. Help eachother by giving the information provided by God from the Bible. If a person chooses to not believe then so be it. I feel sorry that a person chooses to not Give their heart to the Lord, but God gave them that FREE WILL to CHOOSE on their own. We can not force someone to believe something. Do your part in being the messanger, if they truly don't want to beleive then let it go and talk to God about it...Love your brother and sister not put them down and just throw it in their face that they're going to hell...not the way to go at saving someones life/soul...God bless guys. =)

Genesis 2
And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
The key phrase, written thousands of years before evolution was dreamed up, is according to their kind. This phrase precludes evolution. Endorsing evolution means the Genesis story is a lie. The taeching by Paul says Adam was the first man and Jesus was the second man. If genesis is a lie, then this teaching is a lie. Then all of the Boble is a lie. Where's your faith?

I don't. Evolution could have easily been God's way of doing things. And I highly doubt that the creator of the Universe is going to really be upset with you if you cant pick the right belief of creation. He's got bigger things on his mind.
