We did a princess theme for my daughter's birthday, it was in October so the little girls all dressed up as princessess and I was the Queen Mother. (got my costume at Target) We had a tea party with finger sandwiches and I got a great party pack full of stuff including goblets, jewelry and a talking princess tablecloth from Birthday Express.com. A little pricey, but the moms are still talking about it.

I have a 2 year old too, but I am in the minority and not into the princess or Dora thing at all.
I would do a cowgirl theme. You can get cute cowboy/girlhats at oriental trading You could also have the kids wear bandanas!Food- you could do something easy and cheap like hot dogs, baked beans, smores would be a blast. If you like the idea I could go on and on!

My daughter just turned 2. And I was not to crazy about doing a theme with Dora or any of those characters. So I did a Balloon theme. We had TONS of balloons tied to everything and then we did a flower theme also. The cake was of a flower and there party favor was flower pots with candy in it. I also had mini cupcakes with flowers coming out of them. It was cute.

My daughter turned two in december and she loves dora the explorer. So, Dora was the theme for the party. I haven't met a little girl who doesn't like Dora yet. You could also try Hello Kitty, or Strawberry Shortcake, all the old cartoons are coming back.

At two they probably aren't into princess things as much as they might be into Winnie the pooh. They really like stimulation's so bright coloured balloons, pooh plates and napkins. You can get shaped cakes from many grocery stores, or a sheet cake decorated with sprinkles and pooh and his friends. Finger foods like cheese chunks and pepperoni slices, popcorn, goldfish. Good luck.

It depends on what your daughter likes. I did an Elmo party for my son's 2nd birthday because he had like two or three elmo dolls and played with them. Also, I went to a lot of party supply websites and got a lot of ideas, and some good deals on party favors!
