when you scratch it in certain spots. I know the scratching feels good, but what makes the leg move? Is it a nerve or something?

Technically it is a nerve that your hitting so it's uncontrollable for them the leg just twitches; it's kind of a ticklish spot for them. Can you control your ticklish spot ??

My leg shakes when my back gets scratched too and I can say from experience that it's just a nerve line.
