Depends, did you electronically file or mail in your return? I'm somewhat confused, did you ask the IRS to direct deposit the refund into your bank account or just mail a check to you. It makes a difference in the length of time it takes.

If the IRS accepts your return on or before Thursday, Feb 15, your refund should be processed on Friday, Feb 23. That gives 3 weeks for the IRS to receive and accept your return. In April, that could be a problem. In January, it will probably be accepted before Thursday, Feb 1. That means your refund should be processed on Friday, Feb 9.

I volunteer for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and we e-file and were told to tell the people 2 weeks on refunds but state comes quicker like 1 1/2 weeks and so does direct deposit.

You should get it on time... if you filed it before the 28th of January.. Refund usually takes 2-3 weeks for you to get it back.. It also depends where you file your tax return.. Yes there is an option that you can get direct deposit of your refund.. Where i file my tax i usually get it in 7-10 business days... Goodluck hope u get ur refund before the day u need ur money....

If you mailed it, could take a month or more, so you might or might not have it by Feb 28. If you had efiled, you would have it by then even if you didn't ask for direct deposit.

Good luck.
