They are not different. Yahoo does this so they won't get yelled at by Christians who think that being denied their requests for favoritism is a good example of persecution against them.

Mythology is different than History, the Bible is actually a history book also. The events can be proven to have happened through science, but at the present time, Egypt will not let anyone take out the chariot wheels to be tested for age, etc. And if anyone other than a levite touches the ark of the covenant they would die. They wouldnt let anyone in or near it, even if they could prove they were a levite. In this day and age, speaking the truth, creates hatred and revulsion. If you search for the truth, you will find it, and if you search this internet, you will find evidence of biblical events, and prophecies that have come true, and are coming true today are spoken of with great excitement, and fear.

Mythology is the dead religion of past cultures. It could also be seen as religion from an "unbiased" point of view. Mythology tells the stories, whereas religion debates the truth behind them.

Mythology is a religion in which no one any longer believes. There are many other religions in which there are still believers.

The virtual world is so big I have no doubt that the creators of Yahoo Answers first contemplated having a seperate room for every belief, but then found that controversy was more fun, so they settled on two rooms.

Mythology and folklore deals with cultural stories, but religion and spirituality deals with one's relationship with God (or gods).

I thought the same thing, I think they should be one section. Then again, you would have all the UFO abuctees and people who think they have the souls of unicorns posting in this section; I'm not sure that's a good idea. ;-)

They are two different things. Religion is true in regards to God. A myth is a myth, like a dream .
