I know of this because i am hypogloscemic. If my sugar gets to low i start to sweat and get shakey, and weak, upset stomach. Headache If i let it go too long i can pass out. Your MD can send you some where to get tested for this. you do not eat for 5-8 hrs and you drink this stuff and every so often they test your sugar that will tell them if your sugar is to low. As for sports i guess if you play hard and have not eaten your sugar could drop and cause you problems. I am not sure on that one.

Excessive shaking, trembling. Your thinking can get blurred. People who have high blood sugar are urged to exercise regularly to lower it, so sports could lower your blood sugar. You should consult your doctor, there is a blood test that will tell how you blood sugar has been over an extended period of time. When a diabetic's blood sugar gets too low it is possible to go into coma, taking a glucose(sugar)tablet will raise the blood sugar, or drinking a regular coke or soda( not diet ).

Hypoglycemia unrelated to exogenous insulin therapy is an uncommon clinical syndrome characterized by low plasma glucose level, symptomatic sympathetic nervous system stimulation, and CNS dysfunction. Many drugs and disorders cause it. Diagnosis requires blood tests performed at the time of symptoms or during a 72-h fast. Treatment is provision of glucose combined with treatment of the underlying cause.
Hypoglycemia is relatively common in diabetics. It occurs when too much insulin or oral antidiabetic medication is taken, not enough food is eaten, or from a sudden increase in the amount of exercise without an increase in food intake. Hypoglycemia can occur because of an insulin-secreting tumor of the pancreas, liver disease, or as a response to the ingestion of alcohol. It can occur in adults, infants, and children, and affects approximately 1 out of every 1,000 people.
Please see the web pages for more details on Hypoglycemia.

Some signs are feeling light headed, or feeling shakey,
I don't thing playing sports can cause it, but if you skip meals and play that might.
