I'm having about 10 friends over from breakfast in about 20 minutes. I have NO toilet paper or paper napkins in the house for potty trips. No time to run to the store, and none of the folks is a good, long time friend. Should I just call one of the folks and ask them to stop by the store for me? I don't want to be rude, but...

Ask a neighbor . . . All people have been in a pinch now and then whether for cup of sugar or T.P. Choice of asking a neighbor or dinner guests that you don't know in depth and having no T.P. or napkins . . . ask a neighbor.

The most polite thing to do, would be to have a proxy host. When the first guest arrive, have them to meet and greet the other guests whille you make a MAD dash to the nearest convenience store to pick up the essentials. You just make sure that you arent gone longer than 15 minutes.

Do you know your neighbors? Ask one of them for some TP and napkins. Also, if you have a very close friend who you could invite over quickly, ask her to bring some.

Good luck!

No... I think that when at least two people arrive, you should explain the situation to them, and run to the store yourself.

Or if the store is too far away, or if you don't want to do that, I think you should ask one of them to stop by the store. They'll understand.

ummm, haha tell them to go outside and do there business...no j/k um if I were you I would call the person out of all 10 that you think would be the most generous and not think of it as a biggggg deal...Even though you don't know all of them to well, just ask the one person that you would think would just take it as a joke and go out and buy it for you :-P goood luck!!

By all means do. The small possible faux pas is tiny in comparison to the consequences of not asking.

Yes,ask them.I would be highly upset at you if you invited me over and I used your bathroom and could not wipe. either way is rude if you ask them to buy it for you or if you leave your bathroom without toliet paper. But I would rather be rude and ask them to get it then let them use my bathroom that dont have toliet paper.

Yeah, ask one of your friends to bring it over, just tell him or her not to make it all obvious when he/she brings it in the house!
