First off CKC (unless Canadian Kennel Club) is a bogus scam registry...it is NOT a legit registry..it means nothing...there is no "teacup" Chihuahua or any other breed..this is nothing more then a sales tactic used by irresponsible breeders in order to sell dogs bred smaller then the breed standard allows. Of course it says "teacup" on your CKC "papers" since this is a BYB/Mill registry and they register anything. The "papers" you have are worthless, not worth the paper they are written on.
No you didn't have it health screened..health screening is NOT simply a vet exam..it is thyroid tests, x-rays for luxating patella, heart, CERF/PRA, etc
Showing in performance type events such as agility is NOT showing..it is competeing and has nothing to do with breed standards. In order to show in conformation for breed standard you would need to show and point/title in AKC/UKC not in a scam registry.
Yes it is wrong to breed BYB dogs and to breed irresponsibly.

Is breeding dogs bad? The way you described it, yes.
He got a checkup from the vet---my dog had a checkup. Does it mean he should be bred? No. Did the vet do any screenings for genetic problems? How about brucellosis?
He is matched with females because they compliment each other or the female happens to be in season?
And you breed your male every 2 months because....why? He is a great example of the breed? And you know this how????
You have entered him into agility trials---great. I hope you two have fun together. But that has nothing to do with him meeting the breed standard or anything else. Many agility groups don't care what breed your dog is.
And he is a "teacup chihuahua" because that is what it says on a form from the Continental Kennel Club? The same place that would register my old dog as a purebred lab if I filled in the forms properly???(He was a mix)
Is the Chihuahua Club of America is crazy? Because they say there is no such thing as a "teacup":
http://www.chihuahuaclubofamerica.com/teacup.htm
Don't get all angry because you asked for our opinion and you're getting it. My opinion is that breeding a too-small dog 6 times a year or owning a facility that breeds multiple kinds of dogs is bad breeding.
It is bad for the mother dogs, puppies and the people that get them. Dogs that will be used as companion animals should be bred in a situation as close as possible to what they will have for the rest of their lives----a home----NOT a facility.
Why don't you check out the breed club sites for the Chi and the breeds your uncle has and read the breeder's code of ethics at each one. See for yourself what the rest of the world thinks of this method of producing dogs. Google the breed name and the word "club" and just go.
Peace.

Considering they have been health screened of hereditary diseases, you don't sound like a typical backyard breeder.
1) Do you show the dogs to prove what an excellent specimen of the breed your dogs are?
2) Are they all registered?
3) Do you breed every single heat?
4) Why do you breed?
5) Do the dogs live inside or outside?
Your answers should be:
--------------------------------
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) No
4) For the love of the breed and/or to better the breed
5) Inside with the family
If you got all the answers right, you're NOT a backyard breeder (which is an excellent thing).
Edit: What is a "breeding facility"? That makes it sound like a puppy mill. What breed are you talking about? Have you screened ALL dogs of ALL hereditary health problems possible?
Edit2: Well I hate to say it, because all your comments have been good so far but, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP CHIHUAHUA - OR A TEACUP ANYTHING FOR THAT FACT. So honestly, YOU ARE BREEDING RUNTS WITH MAJOR HEALTH PROBLEMS. If all the Chihauhuas that you breed are under the BREED STANDARD, they have no right to be bred. Saying he is a TEACUP CHIHUAHUA also means that you don't show him as he is NOT OF THE BREED STANDARD.
Edit3: CKC is a crappy register. You should have him AKC registered. You ARE a puppy mill!!!!! A normal vet check up is NOTHING! You need a vet that is qualified to test for HEREDITARY DISEASES (eg. eye diseases - orthopedic). Just because he is UP TO DATE ON SHOTS that doesn't mean ANYTHING. You show him - so what? He hasn't been cleared of HEREDITARY DISEASES, he is a RUNT (runt = un-healthy, shouldn't be bred, RUNT). I don't know any type of show that allows RUNTS. Especially if that RUNT is UNDER the normal weight of a show quality Chihuahua.
GET ALL OF YOUR DOGS SPAYED/NEUTERED NOW!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT BREEDING ANYTHING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING - WHICH YOU DON'T!!!!

CKC (unless it's the Canadian Kennel Club) is a joke, which makes your uncle a BYB. A "Breeding Facility" sounds like a Puppy Mill to me.
If you are asking if this breeding is wrong, then it seems that somehting in your mind is telling you that something is wrong with the scenario. I'm guessing you are a younger person from the tone of your post so you might not really be aware of the difference between reputable breeders and backyard breeders/puppy mills. Look at this link and see where your "Breeding Facility" falls. http://bullmastiffinfo.melkevbullmastiffs.com/comparis.htm Perhaps that will clear it up for you.
Also, there is NO such thing as a teacup chihuahua. That isn't a breed. Chi's are only recognized by differences in coat size (long/short) and NOT by size.

I see nothing wrong in breeding but only if it is one breed only and the mother and father have been vet checked for genetic problems that could cause problems for the puppies. If the mother and father are registered and standard for the breed and non-aggressive. And the breeder has experience, knowledge and financial ability to care for mother and babies and isn't out to just make money but instead to actually better the breed. As long as the breeder takes time to pick who the puppies will go to and doesn't just sell them to the first people that come along wanting to buy one. And any good breeder will take a puppy/dog back if a problem should come up. Also a good breeder will be able to prove that the parents are healthy and free of genetic disorders. The best breeders will have information about grandparents and such as well and they be clear of genetic disorders.

Sounds like your unckle has a commercial breeding facility where there are dozens or hundreds of dogs. Pups that are raised in such a facility have no socializtion and are not the sweet, good natured, loving pups. Chihuahuas should not be stuck out in a building. They need to love and socializtion of a home environment. That goes for the adult dogs as well as the pups. I raise chihuahuas and they are all raised in my home, not out in a kennel. People travel hundreds and some have traveled thousands of miles to get my pups. I have pups in about 15 states altho I have never shipped a pup. I have been breeding chihuahuas for almost 9 yrs, have owned them for over 35 yrs and I can tell you for a fact that there is no such thing as a teacup Chihuahua. I sold a pup yesterday that will probably be only 2 lb grown, but she is not a teacup, she is just a chihuahua.

Why would you want to breed a CKC dog? Does your uncle breed CKC? Does he have several breeds? Is he a puppy miller? Chi's can get several health problems. Patellar Luxation,Progressive Retinal Atrophy,Transient Juvenile Hypoglycemia, Cryptorchidism (Undescended Testicles), Hydrocephalus, Cystinuria, Mitral Valve Disease, and Hemophilia are just a few. Have you had your dog x-rayed? Have you had your dog CERF'd? I would think about these things before breeding your dog. Just because this dog is CKC, it does not mean it is purepred. A lot of people buy AKC dogs from reputable breeders with limited AKC registration. Then these joker's turn around and register them with CKC in order to breed them. Do you have money saved up for a c-section?

Your uncle sounds like he owns a puppy mill.
There is no such thing as a teacup dog. Bad breeders only call them that to make more money. These dogs are smaller then they are supposed to be and do not meet breed standards. If your uncle was a real reputable breeder, he would know this.
All reputable dog breeders I know specialize in ONE breed only and breed in their own homes. Breeding facility = PUPPY MILL

"CKC" ???
That answers all of the "puppy mill / backyard breeder / In it for the money" questions right there.
Unless you're in Canada and you mean the "Canadian Kennel Club"... which I seriously doubt.
The Continental Kennel Club is a scam registry used by people who can't or don't qualify for REAL registries.
Rationalize it to yourself all you want. Tell yourself that your uncle isn't a mass breeder. Convince yourself that you're not contributing to the overpopulation problem and the deaths of millions of dogs every year.
It won't make it the truth, but it might make you feel better.

Isn't a "breeding facility" just a nicer way of saying he is a commercial breeder? If he knows so much why are you asking a bunch of strangers. Sounds a bit weird to me!!
Do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut. It's embarrassing. The more you write the dumber you prove to be. Take your piece of crap to your made up registry events and leave us alone. BTW your uncle is a puppy miller!!!! Cheers!
