Try to touch your chest with your chin. If you can't, you could be having meningitis. See your doctor.

That doesn't sound like a migraine...migraines are generally accompanied by sensitivity to light and sound. You should be taking ibuprophen, or some other form of muscle relaxer to ease the tension in your neck. The tylenol will halp the pain, but like you've experienced, will only last for so long. Generally, with spinal injuries, such as your neck and back, the opposite side is the one that is actually injured, and the side that hurts does so because it is picking up the slack for the opposing side. Take an ibuprophen, a hot shower and try to lubricate your neck muscles under the hot water by moving your head in slow circles--in both directions.
You really just need to take it easy. Stress does not help. It very well could have been a strange sleep position that did this to you. Good luck!

It *could* be migraine - migraines are typically one-sided - but most people who have migraines also feel nauseous, and may be over-sensitive to light (though those aren't essential).
However, you could have damaged your neck and have trapped a nerve, or be in the early stages of developing something called spondylosis - which is no fun if it's allowed to develop, as I can assure you. The fact that you have difficulty moving your neck makes me concerned that you could have done some physical damage - you needn't have noticed it at the time, could have been sleeping in a bad position, in a draught, caught yourself unaware in some way. I'd take yourself to a chiropractor or osteopath or maybe a physiotherapist (ask around for a recommendation or ask your doctor) because some early manipulation could fix this ... catch it early enough and it might never return.
Hope that helps soon.

It could be a migraine, but since we cannot feel it we can only guess. But the following is a way to relieve it.
1. Take a hand towel and dampen it and wring it out.
2. Fold to fit the back of your neck.
3. Put it in the Microwave for 30-40 seconds.
3.Place it carefully on the back of your neck while laying down, you might want to put it on your face. The heat will help the pain go away.
4.Repeat as needed.
I hope this helps, it always works for me.
Should this remedy not relieve the pain. I just realized you said you have had the neck pain for a week, Spinal meningitis causes a painful stiff neck and headache. It probably would be a good Idea to see the Dr. since this is lasting so long.
Plus somethings are contagious.

If you only took one paracetamol that would not help a severe headache. You would really need to take two at a time. You seem to be sneezing a lot and I was wondering if you are getting a cold. If you are all blocked up then that could account for how you are feeling. If it is no better in the morning after sleep then you will neeed to go to the docs and get something for it. Meanwhile you could try placing a cold wet face flannel across your forehead. I have found that to be very soothing. Hope it goes away soon.

Like the others said, it could possibly be something more serious....but if you have been under a lot of stress lately, that could do it also....your neck muscles could be tensed up and could cause pain and a headache. I use Bayer back and body when I feel like that .... but DO go to the doctor if you even think for a minute that you need to.

I think that your doctor should be able to prescripe your Vicodin which seems the best medication for this situation. The hydrocodone will act as a muscle relaxant and remove the pain in your neck, and the acetimenophen in Vicodin acts as an extremely successfull method of dissipating the pain of your migraine. However in order to obtain these drugs you will have to consult your doctor, as Vicodin is Schedule III in the CSA (Controlled Substance Act). I hope this helps!

the headache is probable from the muscle tension in your neck....sometime Advil works better than Tylenol for this, try either cold or heat on your neck muscles (most people cold works better), try to give your neck suppose even if you need to coil up a towel and make sure you support it when you go to bed.
