how do you know if you have ocd or hypochondria?

i would really like to know how and wat are the sendromes(sp?)

OCD is wanting to constantly clean yourself and surroundings. Also needing to have your hair and clothes perfect. If you get a hair out of place or get a spot on your clothes it will drive you totally crazy unless you fix or clean it. Hypochondria is if you have sick symptoms and the doctors keep telling you that you are okay. You think your sick all the time.

Someone with OCD will do things like wash their hands every five minutes. Or brush their teeth over and over...But Hypochondria may be a form of an OCD. Only a doctor can tell you for sure. He would have to talk to the person face to face...

I use to be a hypochondria to the point I use to think something was wrong my heart and I was 21 years old then,they even filmed my heart and every morning i wake and I think i am going to die from the flue or little cold,I had panic attacks I could not drive my car, I was sick in the head and I was in major denial about issues that happened to me in the past, one of things I use to do to get attention from my parents is to pretend i was sick, i pretended one time that my upend-ex was in trouble did the throwing up the fake pain they put in the hospital.now i no longer have it ,it took me years in therapy.ocd i know about i have some of it but not all,like if some one moves a candle i have i would know or i cant go to bed without emptying all the ashtrays, i take 3 showers a day. i hope i helped
